We rode the wild horses this weekend with Ross Cooper in the small West Texas town of Stamford. Met the real cowboys, battered old school bronc riders and fresh faced highschool hopefuls in the rodeo rings of Lubbock. Everywhere along the way was filled with characters who couldn't wait to show around a couple city slickers come to see what it's like to live in the places Amazon never thought of headquartering. One character from the weekend was Bronc, who went from town to town riding in rodeo competition's with Ross' dad in the 70s. He was also the Winston Man in the magazine ads. He told me they never did catch on that he put Malboros in his Winston packs.
